Fuck this shit!! (Immigration)

The United States of America was founded by immigrants. When the Irish came here after the Potato Famine of...I believe it was 1859, the people who were already here spit on them because they were afraid the Irish would take their jobs. When the Italians started coming over, the Irish spit on them. What do we have now? People angry and afraid that Mexicans are going to take our jobs. It's bullshit. Those peole come here and do jobs that Americans won't do, and they do it for cheap. If we rounded up all of the illegal immigrants and sent them home, the country would be fucked.

I have nothing wrong with immagrants, and I do believe that they give a key ingrediant into what is the melting pot of america. However, illegal is illegal. A person making a living and helping out the country that dodges becoming a citizen is aginst the law. Period.

I think that people that come to this country should be welcome, and we should greet them with open arms . If they want to come and take the job I won't do, that's fine... just so long as they still do everything else a citizen should do.

I was tickled when the immigration protests started, and one thing kicked my head into overdrive over the entire subject. You know what I'm speaking of, surely. When they first wanted to turn being an illegal immigrant into a felony.

It was the instance that the lot in front of the whitehouse was filled with protestors, and a man stood up saying "Just because we're illegal doesn't mean we don't have rights!"

In my opinion, that's exactially what it means. The term "In for a dime, in for a doller" rings truer here than anywhere else. If you don't put in, don't expect to get back. I may not want to clean up kitchens for 2.50 an hour, but I sure as heck pay taxes, vote, register for military service (already did my two years), and everything else that every other citizen is required to do. For all of my efforts I earn the given rights written in the Decleration. If you deny yourself citizenship, you deny yourself those rights. (Again, just my opinion)

And TheJoeD, this country is already screwed. America may be the melting pot of the world, but the pot is starting to overflow. Diversity is great, but only when the entirety of the country can withstand diversity - and it is continually shown by the mass of idiots this country holds that such an ideal is impossible.

I will say again, I don't have any problem with immagrents. I have a problem with people who want to live in a country, but don't want to be a part of it.

And loser, as for your psychotic trigger happy friend - Tell her to grow up. If she truely believes that this country is worth shooting someone to stay in, then she should file the correct papers to make sure that immigration doesn't come back around a second time.
